At the time at which dues are collected, the reigning league champion chooses a stock, mutual fund, or money market account to invest the dues in. The dues are then invested into the stock/mutual fund/money market, in an account owned by the Sacko.
When the next year’s winners are decided, the dues (plus or minus any gains/losses minus any long term capital gains taxes) are withdrawn and distributed to the winners accordingly based on the existing payout percentages of the league.
Note: If purchasing a stock, it must be sold at least exactly 1 year to the day it was purchased, as to avoid any short term capital gains taxes.
